CAUTION
Scc 4 Plus Pouch may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Scc 4 Plus Pouch may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Scc 4 Plus Pouch is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Scc 4 Plus Pouch occasionally causes sight problems and tingling or numbness in hand or feet. After taking this medicine you should not drive until you know how it affects you.
Scc 4 Plus Pouch is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Scc 4 Plus Pouch may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Scc 4 Plus Pouch
Take the medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Scc 4 Plus Pouch is to be taken empty stomach.
How Scc 4 Plus Pouch works
Scc 4 Plus Pouch is a combination of five medicines: Rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, pyrazinamide and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) which treat tuberculosis (TB). Rifampicin works by inactivating a bacterial enzyme (RNA-polymerase) which is required by TB bacteria to make essential proteins and to reproduce, while isoniazid prevents the these bacteria from forming their own protective covering. Together, they kill the bacteria and eradicate the infection. Ethambutol and pyrazinamide, on the other hand work by slowing the growth of these bacteria. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is added to prevent nerve damage which may be a side effect of isoniazid.
Common Nausea, Vomiting, Rash, Fever, Dark colored urine, Sweating, Increased sputum production, Salivation, Teary eyes, Peripheral neuropathy (tingling and numbness of feet and hand), Increased liver enzymes, Jaundice, Increased uric acid level in blood, Visual impairment.
