How to use Rapiduce Oral Solution
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Rapiduce Oral Solution may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Rapiduce Oral Solution works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis, which makes the stool soft and easier to pass.

Avoid taking a Rapiduce for more than 1 week, unless prescribed by the doctor, as it leads to dependency on the laxative action to produce a bowel movement.  Together with Rapiduce, fiber rich diet containing whole grain bread and cereals, bran, fruits and green leafy vegetables, is essential to maintain healthy bowel function. A Rapiduce should preferably be taken at bedtime because it requires 6 to 8 hours to show impact. Notify your doctor if you are on a low-sugar diet because the Rapiduce contains sugars. Take Rapiduce after 2 hours from other medicines, as it may interfere with the absorption of other medicines.

Lactulose may interact with antibiotics, omeprazole, and Gaviscon/calcium carbonate. Senokot/senna, Fybogel/ispaghula when taken with lactulose may result in diarrhea. No interactions have been observed when lactulose is taken with warfarin, iron tablets, and paracetamol
