Senta 100mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Senta 100mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Senta 100mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Senta 100mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.
Senta 100mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Senta 100mg Tablet is recommended.However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease as you may be given a smaller dose initially and then increased slowly as required.
Senta 100mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Senta 100mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Senta 100mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.
Uses of Senta Tablet
Senta 100mg Tablet is used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorder, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
How to use Senta Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Senta 100mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How Senta Tablet works
Senta 100mg Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms in depression and relieves symptoms of panic and obsessive disorders.

Expert advice for Senta Tablet
It can take 2-3 weeks for Senta to start working. Do not stop treatment suddenly as this may cause a stomach upset, flu-like withdrawal symptoms and sleep disturbance. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Senta, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness. If your doctor asks you to stop Senta, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. The addiction/dependence potential of Senta is very less. You may develop anxiety during initiation of therapy.
Q. Is Senta addictive?
Senta is not addictive. However, sudden discontinuation or decrease in dose of Senta may cause effects like dizziness, numbness, sleep disturbances, agitation or anxiety, headaches, nausea, vomiting and shaking. Patients should follow the advice of the doctor regarding its use and discontinuation

With tramadol there is an increased risk of hypertension, amitriptyline may possibly change the blood levels of fluoxetine, and alcohol may alter the effect of fluoxetine.
