Spiromide Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Spiromide Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.

Driving

Spiromide Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.

Spiromide Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Spiromide Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Use of Spiromide Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Uses of Spiromide Tablet
Spiromide Tablet is used in the treatment of liver cirrhosis with edema, nephrotic syndrome, heart failure and oedema.

How to use Spiromide Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Spiromide Tablet is to be taken with food.Avoid Spiromide Tablet with dietary sodium.

How Spiromide Tablet works
Spiromide Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Furosemide and Spironolactone. Furosemide is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time, it also relaxes blood vessels, but causes potassium loss. Spironolactone is also a diuretic which conserves potassium, thereby balancing its levels in the body.

Side Effects:

Common Dehydration, Decreased sodium level in blood, Breast enlargement in male, Decreased magnesium level in blood, Decreased calcium level in blood, Increased blood uric acid.
