Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup can cause fits, mental health problems and optic neuritis (inflammation of the optic nerve that may cause loss of vision.) This may affect your driving ability.
Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Siozide Syrup
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup is to be taken empty stomach.Avoid Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
How Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup works
Siozide 100 mg/5 mg Syrup is a combination of two medicines: Isoniazid and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine). Isoniazid is an antibiotic which prevents the TB bacteria from forming their own protective covering. This kills the bacteria and eradicates the infection. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is added to prevent nerve damage which may be a side effect of isoniazid.
