Driving

It is not known whether Tredaptive 1000 mg/20 mg Tablet alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.

Uses of Laropiprant
Laropiprant is used in the treatment of vitamin B3 (Nicotinic acid)- associated flushing.

How to use Laropiprant
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.

How Tredaptive 1000 mg/20 mg Tablet works
Laropiprant blocks the synthesis of certain chemical messengers and reduces flushing due to Vitamin B3 (Nicotinic acid), a lipid-lowering medicine.

Side Effects:

Common Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Bloating, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Diarrhoea.

Expert advice for Laropiprant

Inform your doctor if you have hereditary muscle problems or have pain, tenderness or weakness of muscles, liver, kidney, thyroid or heart problems.  
Tell your doctor if you have gout, low levels of phosphorous or are an elderly patient.
Do not combine this medicine with other B vitamin supplements, as it may cause overdose.
Exercise caution if you are a diabetic patient, as it may raise blood sugar level.
Do not consume alcohol when on treatment with laropiprant, as it may worsen its side effects.
Do not drive or use any machinery immediately after taking laropiprant as it may cause dizziness.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
Do not take if allergic to laropiprant or any of its ingredients.
Do not take if suffering from peptic ulcer, arterial bleeding, any existing liver disorders,
Do not take consume if having lactose intolerance.
