Imanib 400mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.

Lactation

Imanib 400mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.After taking Imanib 400mg Tablet avoid breastfeeding for 8 to 9 hours to reduce the exposure to the baby.

Driving

Imanib 400mg Tablet may cause side effects which could affect your ability to drive.

Uses of Imanib Tablet
Imanib 400mg Tablet is used in the treatment of blood cancer (Chronic myeloid leukaemia) and gastrointestinal stromal tumour.

How to use Imanib Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Imanib 400mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Imanib Tablet works
Imanib 400mg Tablet is an anti-cancer medication. It works by blocking the action of the abnormal protein that signals cancer cells to multiply. This helps to stop or slow the spread of cancer cells.

Side Effects:

Common Nausea, Rash, Vomiting, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Edema, Abdominal pain, Fatigue, Diarrhoea, Muscle cramp.

Always take Imanib with food and a full glass of water. Do not change the dose or discontinue use without consulting your doctor. Imanib may cause dizziness or blurred vision. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery. Water retention and swelling are very common side effects of Imanib. Notify your doctor if you have unexpected rapid weight gain. Notify your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over the counter medicines and dietary supplements.
