Fosavance 70 mg/5600 IU Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Fosavance 70 mg/5600 IU Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.If you are taking Fosavance 70 mg/5600 IU Tablet during breastfeeding, monitor baby's blood calcium levels during the first two months.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.Fosavance 70 mg/5600 IU Tablet is not expected to have any effects but in rare cases, it may cause dizziness, severe muscle, joint and bone pain and eye pain or inflammation. This may affect your ability to drive.

Alendronic Acid is used in the treatment of osteoporosisThis disease mostly occurs in women after menopause, but can sometimes be seen in men. It can also occur in patients receiving steroids.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
How Fosavance 70 mg/5600 IU Tablet works
Alendronic Acid is a bisphosphonate. It acts by suppressing the activity of osteoclasts, cells that cause the destruction of bone, thereby strengthening the bones and minimizing the risk of fractures.
Common Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Headache, Heartburn, Difficulty in swallowing.
Expert advice for Alendronic Acid
Take Alendronic Acid in the morning on an empty stomach with water. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after taking Alendronic Acid. Maintain an upright posture for 30 minutes after taking Alendronic Acid. Inform your doctor if you experience pain in jaw, throat, chest, abdomen, hips or thighs. Inform your doctor if you are about to undergo any major dental procedures, as Alendronic Acid may need to be discontinued temporarily.
