Mesacol 800mg Tablet DR is used in the treatment of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

How to use Mesacol Tablet DR
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mesacol 800mg Tablet DR is to be taken with food.

How Mesacol Tablet DR works
Mesacol 800mg Tablet DR blocks the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation of the lining of the intestines.

Common Nausea, Headache, Diarrhoea, Abdominal pain.

Expert advice for Mesacol Tablet DR

Do not take the medicine if you are allergic to mesalazine, to any other content in the medicine, aspirin and other salicylate drugs.
Do not take mesalazine if you have severe kidney or liver problems, blood disorders or uncontrolled bleeding.
Do not take mesalazine if you have stomach or bowel ulcers or a history of bleeding ulcers, glucose-galactose mala absorption, Lapp-lactase deficiency or galactose intolerance.
Doctor’s advice should be considered in case of patients with liver, kidney or lung disease (asthma).
Avoid taking mesalazine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding.
