ZY 10 Active Capsule is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
It is not known whether ZY 10 Active Capsule alters the ability to drive. Do not drive if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
ZY 10 Active Capsule is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of ZY 10 Active Capsule may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

How to use Eicosapentaenoic Acid
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. ZY 10 Active Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
How ZY 10 Active Capsule works
The omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid is long-chain n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, which compete with arachidonic acid for inclusion in cyclo-oxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways. It's actions include hypolipidaemic action (especially a reduction in plasma triglycerides) by reducing very-low-density lipoproteins; anti-inflammatory action, attributed to effects on leukotriene synthesis; and antiplatelet effect, attributed to effects on prostanoid synthesis, which promote vasodilatation, reduction in platelet aggregation, increased bleeding time and decreased platelet counts.

Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) belongs to the class of medications called as nutritional supplements. DHA plays a vital role in the brain development. DHA decreases cholesterol and triglyceride levels, inhibits platelet aggregation and oxidation of LDL, decreases the synthesis of inflammatory markers such as prostaglandins.
