DESCRIPTION
Rocaltrol consists of Calcitriol 0.25mcg. Calcitriol is a form of vitamin D that is used in the absorption of calcium in the blood. Vitamin D3 helps in the processing of essential minerals in the body like Calcium and Phosphorus. Lack of Vitamin D3 results in bone weakening, bone pain, and skin diseases. 
 
Vitamin D is made by the body when skin is exposed to sunlight. Sunscreen, protective clothing, limited exposure to sunlight, dark skin, and age may prevent getting enough vitamin D from the sun, thus leading to Vitamin D3 Deficiency. Thus, Vitamin D3 in Rocaltrol capsule is essential for calcium absorption in the body.
