DESCRIPTION
Megafit OD Tablet is a nutritional supplement enriched Folic acid . Folic acid is used for dietary management of low blood cell folate level in certain patients. Folic Acid is proven to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs) and birth defects. Poor availability of folic acid to the body limits the ability to build and maintain healthy reserves of folic acid and significantly increases the risk of birth defects.
Folic acid is also proven to lower levels of homocysteine - an amino acid linked to cardiovascular disease and more importantly, pregnancy complications. Such pregnancy complications include: preeclampsia, low birth weight, miscarriage, recurrent pregnancy loss and placental abruption. .Folic acid deficiency states causes Megaloblastic anaemia, adjunctive therapy in nutritional anaemias and anaemias of pregnancy.
